Questions ~

So, here we are 8 days after the "election".  I put that in quotation marks because I personally believe that had this been a truly free and fair election the results would look DRASTICALLY different.  And so, yes, I believe fraud and deception won out and this election was stolen.  I believe this issue needs to be figured out, and so, I press on.  I am contacting state governors and secretary of each state in the swing states requesting there be a recount.  You should do the same.  I'm using the letter I previously posted.  Please feel free to use it yourself.  Here is a link that has all the contact information you will need.

Anyhooooooo.............

I have a few questions ~ for those who know.  I was young ~ like born in 1979 young ~ when President Reagan was our president.  I don't really remember much from a political standpoint (from much of any standpoint, as a matter of fact) about that era.
Then moving on to George HW Bush's administration ~ I kinda sorta remember that.  I remember the Gulf War.  I think I remember it so well because we lived in a town with an Air Force base and talk of deployments were rampant.  I remember the gas wars.  I remember when gas was $.88/gallon ~ those were truly the good ole' days.  Then I can vaguely remember watching the debates between President Bush I, Ross Perot, and Bill Clinton.  I remember becoming more aware  of things like that because I would get upset that Who's the Boss and The Commish weren't on those nights because of those stupid heads on their.  Oy.
And I can remember somewhat of Clinton's presidency.  But still it didn't occur to me to be "into" it.  I remember when Rush Limbaugh came on the scene ~ being a ditto head wasn't a term of endearment but I think some people relished it!  I know that I would now!  And yes, even as a young innocent naive girl just becoming a teenager, and eventually a woman during the Clinton years, I remember the scandals that rocked the White House.  I remember after the whole Monica Lewinsky affair and the "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" ~ I remember watching Bill, Hillary and Chelsea walking to Marine 1 and Bill tried to take Hillary's hand and I can remember watching her pull away (at least I think I can remember that ;)  ).  I remember when the Twin Towers got bombed the first time.  I remember when Timothy McVeigh blew up the Government building in OKC and how utterly devastated I was watching the faces of all those little babies who died in the daycare center there.  I remember standing with my church in a life chain on Pro-life Sunday.  I remember all that.

So, all that to ask my questions ~ what was conservatism in America like back then?  What was the Reagan Presidency like?  And the following years ~ how did conservatism react to the election of Bill Clinton?  Was it different from what it feels like now?  Was there the feeling that "this is NOT a good thing"?  A can our country survive another 4 years of this?

I'm curious because those are the feelings I'm facing right now.  I'm worried and weary and fear that what once made our country great is no longer there.  America traded her greatness for an Obamaphone, and can we truly be a great nation again?  A free nation?   I fear we traded our freedom for the chains of slavery all for the sake of entitlements.  And I fear that my children will never know how great America once was and will be again.  I fear that America chose tyranny for free contraception.

“America is great because she is good. If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.” ~ Alexis de Tocqueville

I long to make America great again!  I would very much appreciate any and all input!

  1. I vaguely remember the election of Clinton. I was paying attention, but nothing like I do now. I was young, I voted against him, but aside from that paid little attention. I remember conservatives being upset over the loss, but nothing like what we're facing now. In my opinion, we haven't seen this level of anger in this country in quite some time, if ever.
